Association of Israeli cities visiting WWE

The Dan Region Association of Towns brings together six Israeli towns: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Bnei-Brak, Bat-Yam, Givatayim, Holon and Ramat-Gan. It is the largest and most advanced waste sector organisation in Israel. Operating through the Hiriya Recycling Park (HRP), which dates back to 1952, it manages 1/4 of all waste generated in the country. In addition to the aforementioned cities, another 30 municipalities use HRP's services, making up the 2 million-strong community of the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Warsaw Power Plant – pending procedures

The project to develop and modernise the former ZUSOK is nearing completion. We are checking and testing all elements of the infrastructure and installations. We are carrying out finishing works so that the realisation meets the investor's high requirements. In parallel, we are going through further formal and legal procedures to obtain an use permit.

Fire safety inspection

We are preparing ZUSOK for a comprehensive fire inspection. The expanded and modernised plant will be assessed to ensure that it is ready for safe operation. This is a very important aspect in the procedure for obtaining an use permit.

Part of the ZUSOK expansion and modernisation project are tasks from the social and soft categories, including providing information on the status of the project and conducting environmental education. On 25 March (2025), we hosted at the Information Centre alumni of Hufca Pracy 7 - 9, which is part of the Mazovian Voivodeship OHP Headquarters (vocational education for the youth with secial needs). The aim of the workshop meetings is to develop social awareness, responsibility for the quality of the planet and to reinforce good practices. Once the project is completed, these tasks will be carried out on the new…

ZUSOK synchronised with the city’s power system

Siemens Energy turbine, thanks to REMAK-ENERGOMONTAŻ S.A. - ZARMEN GROUP, was joined by a generator. The unit passed subsequent tests flawlessly, accepting a gradual increase in power, then the plant's installation was synchronised with the city's power grid. Once fully operational, the WWE (Warsaw power plant) will meet its own energy needs and supply tens of thousands of households with heat and electricity generated from mixed waste.

EU Certificates of Conformity for boilers

We have reached another milestone in the expansion and modernisation project of the Warsaw incineration plant ZUSOK. On 27.02.2025 POSCO E&C obtained EU Certificates of Conformity for the new K2 and K3 boilers. The certificates issued by the Notified Body - Jednostka Notyfikowana UDT-CERT - confirm the fulfilment of the conditions of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The certification process was conducted thoroughly and consisted of many stages - it included numerous inspections, pressure tests and tests of the boilers' safety features, and was directed at assessing compliance with the directive and European standards in all aspects of implementation. The…

Welcoming spring with donuts

Today Poland is full of donuts! It is said that ‘who can eat, can work’, so we also celebrate Fat Thursday and eat donuts! The tradition originates from pagan times and symbolises the turn of winter to spring. For centuries, the welcome of spring was celebrated with fatty foods - meat, bigos and finally bread donuts stuffed with pork fat or liver. We've strayed slightly from the source, as our donuts have jam and pistachio mousse inside, but it's certainly both fatty and delicious as should be! 🍩🌿
