On June 27, the construction site was visited by Izabela Kraj, a journalist and deputy head of the Warsaw department of "Super Express". Our team is developing ZUSOK (waste to energy plant) in Warsaw, communicating the progress of the works, and providing ecological education to children, teenagers and adults. During several months we have become known in many circumstances. We are passionate about the social dimension of cooperation with the Investor, various partners and Targówek District Office, dynamically managing this part of Warsaw, where our project is located. Go Green with POSCO! Employee Volunteering

We carry out business projects respecting the environment and local communities. As form of employee volunteering on 9.06.2022 we cleaned the area adjacent to ZUSOK, which is being expanded in Warsaw. We received fantastic support from the ZUSOK's project Investor – the MPO employees joined us in cleaning, provided containers and took care of proper collected waste management. We went outside the fence of the plant and collected 5.5 thousand liters of plastic, glass and metal junk lying for years on the green area near the Bródno Canal.

“POSCO Family” – Children’s Day

More and more is happening in the social space of our company. On the last Saturday of May (28.05.2022)we organized a Children's Day for kids from families of our employees andco-workers. We met in the Information Centre, there were creative activities, planting wild strawberries, exploring the brand new waste-carrying truck, dancing, ice-cream and presents. It was a time of fun and relaxation especially for the children, but everyone benefited. It was an opportunity to get to know each other from a different perspective and to integrate – in this way we deepened the idea of the "POSCO Family".

New buildings make the image of ZUSOK

ZUSOK (Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Plant) - our WtE project - is changing dynamically. New buildings have climbed to the height of over a dozen meters and visually began to dominate the image of the plant. The waste unloading hall, together with the flyover, as well as the administration and social building will be finished with a green roof and will become a useful and ecological showpiece of the plant. New lines K2 and K3

We have placed the grates for the newly built K2 and K3 lines on a support structure. Each grate consists of three elements and weighs over 120 tonnes. The next stage involves setting up the slag grates. To remind, the expansion and modernization of ZUSOK means ecological management of mixed waste and even more electricity and heat from waste for Warsaw.
