On 22 August we had the pleasure of hosting at ZUSOK Ms. Marta Gurin – Head of Policy & Technology CEWEP (Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants), who came to visit us from Brussels. The history of the plant and the new investment was presented by ZUSOK’s long-time director, Mr. Sławomir Cięciara.

💬 My visit to the construction site of the Warsaw WtE plant provided a firsthand look at the circular economy in action. This project is vital for the city of Warsaw, as it will significantly reduce non-recyclable waste, lower emissions, and deliver sustainable heating and electricity, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable living environment for its residents – Ms. Marta Gurin said.

✔️CEWEP (Confederation of European Waste-to-Energy Plants) is an organization representing the operators of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plants in Europe. We promote sustainable waste management by converting non-recyclable waste into energy, thereby reducing landfill use and generating electricity and heat. We advocate for environmentally sound waste management practices, contribute to EU policy development, and support the transition to a circular economy.
