EU Certificates of Conformity for boilers

We have reached another milestone in the expansion and modernisation project of the Warsaw incineration plant ZUSOK. On 27.02.2025 POSCO E&C obtained EU Certificates of Conformity for the new K2 and K3 boilers. The certificates issued by the Notified Body – Jednostka Notyfikowana UDT-CERT – confirm the fulfilment of the conditions of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The certification process was conducted thoroughly and consisted of many stages – it included numerous inspections, pressure tests and tests of the boilers’ safety features, and was directed at assessing compliance with the directive and European standards in all aspects of implementation. The Notified Body supervised the design, manufacture of pressure components and assembly at the final site. Based on the certificates of conformity, POSCO E&C, as the manufacturer of the pressure equipment concerned, issued an EU Declaration of Conformity.
