Electricity from mixed waste for Warsaw

During the last days of February (2025), most attention is being paid to synchronising the Warsaw WtE plant (Warszawska Wytwórnia Energii) with the capital’s power system. The WWE is already producing electricity from waste under testing procedures. The energy collected by the operator (STOEN) will be used to power Warsaw.

👉 19.02.2025 we fed steam to the new SIEMENS Energy turbine, successfully commissioning the unit.

👉 21.02.2025 synchronisation of the generator with the STOEN transmission system took place.

Supply of the Warsaw system by WWE with electricity obtained from thermal waste conversion has become a reality. Now load tests of the turbine are ahead.
